Default Recording audio in Windows Vista/7

Since many of you can't record videos with audio, I'll briefly present the few solutions. Basic knowledge of computer usage is needed as I won't bother to explain it on a dummy level...

Enabling stereo mix + Realtek drivers
If you have a desktop computer (not laptop), there are high chances you need to download latest Realtek drivers and enable stereo mix and you are good to go. There are tons of tutorials about how to do that already written so I'll just link up few of them:
    http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/39532...-record-audio/
    http://www.vistax64.com/sound-audio/...tml#post903384

If you have laptop, possibly DELL (and dunno which other companies have extra troubles with enabling stereo mix), I found 2 solutions which work.

    i-Sound Recorder
First one is really easy, it is called i-Sound Recorder for Windows 7 and Windows Vista. Trial can be found here: http://www.abyssmedia.com/isound7/

I'll leave the search for full version up to you. It is a sound recorder which will record "what you hear" on your computer. You can save the file in several audio formats such as mp3, wav, wma... Trial version is limited and it will record the sound for 100 seconds and then it will ask you to evaluate, but you can press ok so you can record 100 seconds again, and again, and so on. It is annoying to record like that but it's better than silence. After you are done, you will have several audio recordings which you will have to insert to your clip you recorded. You can do that with Windows Movie Maker, Sony Vegas, Camtasia studio or any other video editing software, but this tutorial is not about that so lets move on.

    Virtual Audio Cable
More painful option for laptops is VAC but once you set it up properly you will be able to record stereo mix and therefore audio of your clips without an additional recorder like i-Sound 7 is. You can download VAC here: http://software.muzychenko.net/eng/vac.htm

Again, this is the trial version, I'll leave the search for full version up to you (hint: piratebay). Once you have it you will probably spend some time with configuration. I don't remember what exactly I did when I was testing it so I'll paste some already written tutorials about it:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INZLIRe5mak
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5DJPV8Mbbk

That's it, your screen recorder should be able to record "what you hear" now as well (that is if your recorder supports that function, of course...)

I'm using HyperCam with highest possible settings for recording. Later while rendering the clips I use Audio: 128 Kbps; 48.000 Hz; 16 Bit; Stereo; AAC in Sony Vegas Pro.

Virtual Audio Cable. It should do that for you but it can be painful to set it up properly. Or hmm, you mean for example if you are listening to mp3 while having a session with stranger so it would only record the stranger's output and not your mp3? I don't think it's possible. Perhaps with some stream recorder but I never really looked into how CR stream is protected so I don't think it's quite easy or even possible to do that.
