How to Take a Screenshot

Mac Users:

Command-Shift-3: Take a screenshot of the screen, and save it as a file on the desktop
Command-Shift-4, then select an area: Take a screenshot of an area and save it as a file on the desktop
Command-Shift-4, then space, then click a window: Take a screenshot of a window and save it as a file on the desktop
Command-Control-Shift-3: Take a screenshot of the screen, and save it to the clipboard
Command-Control-Shift-4, then select an area: Take a screenshot of an area and save it to the clipboard
Command-Control-Shift-4, then space, then click a window: Take a screenshot of a window and save it to the clipboard

PC Users:

1) Press the Print Screen key on your keyboard. It may be labeled [PrtScn].
2) Open an image editing program, such as Microsoft Paint.
3) Go to the Edit menu and choose Paste.
4) If prompted to enlarge the image, choose Yes.
5) Optional: Use your image editor's crop tool to crop out unnecessary portions of the screen shot.
6) Go to the File Menu and choose Save As.
7) Navigate to the folder where you want to save the image.
Type a file name for the image.
9) Select a file type.
10) Click the Save button.

OK, im here with the answers ppl. CamStudio is in my experience better than the rest, but thats my opinion. I'd say try them all urself - theyre free!!

My second point is a nifty little software in reply to the smug mac dude earlier about how difficult it is to get screencaps on a PC. People, I give you "Take Screenshot". Not very well named, i admit but it does what it says on the tin.

Ive used MegaUpload cos theMegaUpload Filebox didnt gel... not sure how well itll work. PM me if there are problems. Heres the link: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ZHG7NNNT . Remember, take plenty of screenshots and vids and dont forget to UPLOAD them to CRHOF.

What I do is: I go to htpp://www.picasa.google.com, download it, install it, open it, and click Print Screen any time I need a screenshot, you get instant available access to the screenshot and it's basically a really simple program to use. Finding your photos is no longer a pain. Have fun.

It really depends on how good a quality you want it to be. And also how good your comp is. Do you have the specs and what your desired quality is? If you do, I can help. I'm technologically inclined lol
